reason #2
A major VOTING BLOC
The second reason we are forming the Democratic-Republican Party is that independents are a large USA voting bloc that the two major parties take for granted because independent voters have not traditionally been organized into a broad-based coalition.
That is changing!
More and more voters today identify as independents, renouncing their once proud Democrat or Republican party affiliations. The major parties have left these citizens behind in favor of extremism, hyper-polarizing politics, and obstructionism. For decades, critically important policy crises in America have not been resolved. Issues are not prioritized over party loyalty.
In a February 2024 poll, Gallup found that 42 percent of Americans now identify as unaffiliated with any political party, dramatically moving away from traditional political allegiances and reshaping the political landscape. Democrats comprised 30 percent of the voters, while Republicans comprised 28 percent. Reasons cited include party platforms that do not resonate with voters and disillusionment with major party candidates.

Approximately 70 percent of 2024 voters want someone other than President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump to be their only choice for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The great re-match is a dud, causing voters great stress and needless anxiety.
Many newly minted independent voters still lean toward the Democrats or the Republicans, but they see good in their former parties. Just too much wrong is hard to fathom. They want more priority in resolving America’s problems, transparency, and ethical behavior from their government. They want less partisanship and more collaboration from their political leaders. They want their party of choice to represent a broader swath of the American electorate, and they want that representation to be crystal clear in its objectives.
The 21st Century Democratic-Republican Party is filling that need.
